I recently picked up a copy of Ken Priebe’s book The Art of Stop-Motion Animation. It’s impressive in it’s size and range complete with a few pictures of myself, Junko and other classmates that we’re in his class at VanArts (Vancouver Institute of Media Arts).
The type is dense (the whole body text is in bold… *cringe*) and the use of images is liberal. I haven’t had a chance to read a lot of the content but first impressions are that it’s a great summary of the stop-motion animation process complete with interviews of some current and past stopmo key players. An impressive result considering that I think the text was written over the course of only a few months.
